ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Detroit in 1999, Elena Masi is a fine artist and designer living and working in Petoskey, Michigan. She received her BFA in Illustration from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2021. In 2023, she attended an artist residency at Dorland Arts Colony in Temecula, California. Currently, she is creating new artwork and enjoying life in Northern Michigan.
Her work reflects her love for an outdoor lifestyle and her appreciation for the well-worn, well-loved artifacts that make enjoying the outdoors possible. By repurposing antique downhill skis and waterskis, she commemorates all of their stories and adventures by creating an art piece rich with nostalgia and personal history.
